We have a dress code for a few reasons.
Visibility - In order to assure you are using proper technique, the teacher must be able to observe your body alignment & muscles. Leotard & tights are a must for ladies; fitted T-shirts & dance pants for young men.
Discipline - This is part of the art. Class uniform is part of the discipline.
Health Issues - We are trying to reduce the spreading of Staph infections.
Modesty - We do not want to see what should be covered by your tights!
Versatility - PAC dancers are very versatile. Our students show very well in auditions of all styles and genres. Dressing the part will help you transform from one style to another.
The following extras will help you look & feel the part:
Ballet & Pointe Classes - Ballet skirts are to be worn for center work. Add a flower or baby's breath to your bun.
Jazz, Lyrical & Acro - You may wear fitted dance shorts. You may also wear black tights or leggings.
Tap - You may wear capris length dance pants of shorts. A leotard is still preferred but a fitted top is acceptable.
Hip Hop - Dance Sneakers are preferred but Tennis shoes that are not worn outside are acceptable. We do not want what you may have stepped in on our dance floor! Baggy sweats, Basketball shorts, Hoodies, layers, hats, etc.

| Hair:
for ballet & pointe classes is to be worn in a bun
(bobby pins & hairnet) with bangs secured. Less classical hairstyle
is acceptable for all other classes. |

Acrobatic Classes:
Solid color leotard and tights. No bare legs please! Acro shoes. Kindergym students
may wear ballet shoes.
