Here we go!!! The summer seems to get shorter & shorter.
We hope everyone found some time for fun & relaxation! Thank goodness for extended hours at Disneyworld!!

FACULTY NEWS:
John Bennet Borgmeyer came into the world June 9th!
Congrats to Miss Anita, Jack, & big sis, Sierra.
With the arrival of the new baby, Miss Anita has put off getting her Masters for a year
so we get to enjoy another year of her talent! Miss Heather moved to Chicago last
fall to make her way in the Tap World. She was offered an apprenticeship in one company
and a full position in another. She accepted Lane Alexanders's "BAM!" as a full
company member and even traveled to Beijing with them over Xmas! Wow! We are so proud of her.
Congratulations to Miss Krista on her engagement; wedding date set for October 2009.
Miss Katy has completed her chemotherapy & radiation treatments & hopes to have
preventative surgery before we open in the fall. We are so proud of her beautiful spirit
throughout this process! Keep thinking pink! New Faculty welcome (or welcome back) to Mandy
Williams, Jon Davenport, & Phil Russo! Glad to have you all on staff. |
NATIONAL COMPETITIONS:
3 Teachers, 25 students, 25 parents, 9 siblings, and 2 grandparents, made the trip to
Disneyworld for DMA National Convention & Competition. We visited with Jennifer Maples from
CPAC who is working for Disney! Way to go, Jen! Convention Highlights: Classes were great &
PAC students were often asked to demonstrate. One tap class in the Adv level had chosen a front
line...all PAC Tappers! Miss Tracy got to teach a tap class; thanks Phil & Richie for
demonstrating! Competition Highlights: Amy Gammon - 5th overall; Amanda Beardsley
- 4th overall out of 217 solos!! Crazy Little Thing Called Love - 4th overall out of 22
small lines and danced in the Championship! Happy Feet - 1st overall in Production,
danced in the Championship, won 1st
in production & $1,000 and got to perform in the encore dance-off at the banquet!!! You all
made Miss Debbie & Miss Tracy so very proud!!!!

SUMMER STUDIES:
Taylor Plodzien is going to SHIP at UB in Buffalo. They're going to love her!
Miss Debbie & Miss Tracy are going again to TTS again this summer. Yes, teachers take class too! |
ALUMNI NEWS:
Our PAC East Alumni: Anthony, Gina, & Anna continue to do well. Gina was offered a
position with Giordano II but opted to stay in NY for a while. She's teaching at a couple of
studios & going to auditions. Anna is slated to choreograph for The Dnace CO this year.
Anthony continues
to book TAPademics workshops, and his newest venture Tap the Map!
Jaime Burkemper-Burrows taught kick boxing at Boot Camp! Miss Debbie gets to plan another
wedding...congrats to Ashley Burkemper! Erika Hebron was 4th runner up to Miss OCU
this year. |
GRADUATES:

Please come see us when you are home whether to take class or just give us a hug!

if they are ready sooner.

CALLING ALL ASSISTANTS & ASSISTANT WANNABE'S:
These dancers are very important to the PAC staff. Positions are open to students age
13 & up; Int 3 & up. If you are interested, please do the following:
1) Submit in writing: Name, age, phone number, several choices of classes to assist
2) Attend the meeting. We will not contact you before the meeting. Classes will be
assigned that evening. Thursday, August 21, 8:00 - 9:30. See you then.

The DANCE CO. of St. Charles held auditions in June this year. If you missed auditions, contact
the office ASAP to arrange an audition. Returning First Company dancers (& any alumni who are in
town) will be performing "English Country Dance" & "A Night at Swing 46" at Grand Center on
September 27th!

WORKSHOPS:
TAPademics is August 23 & 24!!
Choreography sessions begin Friday August 22nd. This will be a blow-out workshop!!!!
Faculty includes: Anthony Russo, Acia Gray, Greg Russell, and Chloe Arnold! WOW!! One
day for minis and two days for Int-Advanced. Anthony and his all-star faculty will be
teaching Tap & Hip Hop during this high energy weekend! Call PAC for registration information.
TAMJAMS is coming October 18 & 19. This highly motivational workshop offers Ballet, Lyrical,
Tap, Jazz, & Hip Hop! Bpth of these powerful workshops are held right here at PAC! Come join the
excitement!!
