NATIONALS:
We were off to Las Vegas for DMA Nationals. Jennifer Kinney, 2006 Miss Dance
of St. Louis was a lovely representative in the National Competition. Jennifer
placed 4th in the Jazz Scholarship Auditions, 6th in Ballet, and 6th overall
for Ballet, Tap, & Jazz. We’re so proud of Jennifer! Miss Debbie was a delegate
for Chapter #21, Miss Tracy gave the title competition Tap classes and was
elected as a National Director for the next two years! A great big thanks to
all who held down the fort while we were away! While we were in Vegas, Mina &
Debbie W. led a group to Dance Champs in Kansas City! Congratulations to all --
Jenna Conner, David Evans, Amy Gammon, Lisa Godar, Michelle Godar, Rachel
Gossard, Alison Hebron, Jon Helferstay, Hannah Meyer, Phillip Russo, Emily

SUMMER STUDIES:
Ballet Intensive: We are so pleased to announce Courtney Walrath, a professional
Ballerina ( & Miss Katy’s sister!) as our guest teacher. Curriculum: technique,
variations, pirouette studies, musical theatre, modern & more! There are still
time to sign up for our Ballet Intensive, August 7-11, and get a head start on
your fall training. TAPademics is coming to PAC August 12 & 13. Sign up now to
take classes from Anthony & his staff! Jennifer Kinney spent 4 weeks in Utah at
Ballet West and then went on to join Amanda Beardsley in Buffalo for SHIP,
DMA’s Intensive Dance Camp where they both won full scholarships last year.
Lisa Godar & Christi Stewart (SLDTA full scholarship) attended Shake the Floor
in NYC. Gina Ianni was an Assistant & also performed in their show. Quite a few
PAC tappers went to NYC for Break the Floor! Taylore Burke (JUMP scholarship),
Jenna Conner, Michelle Godar, Sarah & Sopie Grames (JUMP scholarships), Caitlin
Lochstampfor (JUMP Scholarships), Jacob Pinz (SLDTA scholarships), & Phillip
Russo (full scholarship SLDTA). Anthony Russo is on Faculty & Anna Wear assisted
& performed as well! Miss Tracy, Miss Debbie, Miss Lisa, & Miss LaDonna will be
dancing to their hearts content in Buffalo for TTS. Hmmmm…. This list is growing!
Several PAC tappers will be attending the Human Rhythm Project in Chicago: Miss
Heather, Brittany Beck, Matthew Borchers, Jenna Conner. Cassie Hall, Caitlin
Lochstampfor, Jessi Owens, Jacob Pinz, Phillip Russo, Joanna Shelton.

FACULTY NEWS:
PAC welcomes Lisa Stine, to the PAC Faculty. Miss Lisa Will be teaching our new
Mommy & me Kindergym, Acro 2, 4 $ Int/Adv. We are also pleased to announce L.
Frost has agreed to join the PAC Faculty as well. Mr. Frost will teach several
Hip Hop classes on Wednesday including three Beginner Classes, Int/Adv, & Advanced!
Are you ready to Pop & Lock? (Whatever that is!) Miss Debbie & Miss Tracy are proud
to announce the opening of The Dance Closet in Columbia! In their spare time, they
have been planning the opening of their new store since March. Thanks to Robin,
Renee, Brad, Bob & Mr. D for all their help! Teachers, Save August 29 for the
Faculty Meeting, time & place TBA.

ALUMNI NEWS:
Anthony Russo toured again with Tap Dogs, Anthony was pleased to have
so may PAC friends in the audience! Aj also went to Canada for a Tap Festival where
he performed, taught & judged. We look forward to having him here in August for
TAPademics. Erika Hebron, Kelsey Menke & Andrea Weber joined the UDA staff to
teach Pom Camps this summer. Alex Evans, having graduated fro OCU, has moved to
NYC to take her bits out of the Big Apple. Good Luck, Alex! Melissa Luedke, Kim Machir,
Shannon Muehlberger & Jocelyn Happel got married this summer! Congratulations!

POINTE NEWS:
Bring your new pointe shoes to any Open House and a teacher will check your fit
& help you with ribbon placement. If you have been invited to Intro to Pointe,
do not buy pointe shoes yet. Your teacher will let you know when you are ready for them.

NEW CLASSES:
Hip Hop Aerobics will be offered on Saturdays. This class is for Teens & Adults.
No dance experience needed! Miss Emily teaches this high energy class. Hip Hop
your way through a great cardiovascular workout! Mommy & Me Kindergym for ages 2-3.
Parent & Child both attend and participate in the fun class.
AB Lyrical: This new class is being offered to students in the AB-3 & AB-4 Levels.
AB Lyrical will not have a recital number.

RECITAL DVD's & PICTURES
DVD’s (orders that included shipping) & All Recital Pictures will be mailed in
early August. For DVD orders that did not include shipping, DVD’s may be picked
up at any Open House or any time after classes begin.

CALLING ALL ASSISTANTS!!!:
These dancers are very important to the PAC staff. Open to students 13 years of age
or older who have attained at least the Int-3 level. If you are interested in
assisting or being a demonstrator you need to do the following as soon as
possible: 1) Submit in writing: Name, Age, Phone #, Several Choices of
classes to assist 2) Attend the assistants meeting to receive your schedule
& training. Thursday, August 24, 7:00- 8:30 p.m.

| Auditions for The DANCE CO of St. Charles will be Sunday, September 24th
with rehearsals starting on October 7th. Interested students in Int 2 – Int 4
level of ballet should audition for Second Company; those in Int/Adv ballet
should audition for First Company. We are lining up the Guest Choreographers!!

TAMJAMS
Mark your calendars for TAMJAMS Traveling Workshop, coming to Pac Oct 28 & 29.
This fun & motivational workshop is an even you will all want to attend.
Workshop classes are open to students in the AB-1 level & up. You may also
contract choreography or critique sessions with the TAMJAMS faculty. See the
PAC office for registration form.
